The second day in Miami I had the morning free before my afternoon boarding of the ship. I took a narrated Hop-on Hop-off Miami City Tour which was in a double-decker open top bus. The tour consisted of a ten stop loop around the city and takes a little over two hours if you just stay on the bus. The buses came every 30 minutes, so you could hop off at any stop you wished to visit and then hop on the next bus that came along, to continue with the route. Due to my short time-frame I chose four stops to get off and explore.
[Side-note: The tour van that dropped me off at the first stop of the Hop-on Hop-off tour retained my luggage and went about its schedule, so my luggage was on a different tour than I was all morning. The very nice driver spoke very little English and I was having separation anxiety with my luggage wondering if it would really meet back up with me to go to the ship that afternoon. I knew I could get to the ship myself if I had to, but had no clue if my luggage would accompany me. Thankfully, we did find each other and made it to the ship together.]
