At 146 miles long and 50 miles wide, Jamaica is an island nation in the Caribbean known for its diverse ecosystems, including rainforests, limestone forests, and coral reefs. Jamaica is widely known for its vibrant culture, especially its reggae music, and the Rastafarian movement. It's also famous for its natural beauty, including stunning beaches, snorkeling and diving at coral reefs, and impressive waterfalls like Dunn's River Falls. Additionally, Jamaica is recognized for its delicious jerk chicken, Blue Mountain coffee, and rum.
My "Go Native Jamaica" excursion got canceled and there was just a shopping tour with openings, so I took it as there weren't areas near the port where we could safely walk around ourselves. There's a lot of poverty and crime in the neighborhoods between the port and the fully enclosed shopping village we visited.
